Scorpion Vetch (Coronilla securidaca )

Coronilla securidaca is found within the Fabaceae Family. Coronilla is a genus that contains annual, perennial, herbaceous shrubs and small trees. It is a hairless plant with a height between 10 and 50 cm. The leaves are pinnately compound, with two to three pairs of oblong shaped leaflets. The flowers are bell-shaped and yellow in color (1).
It is an annual plant that blooms from April to May (1).
It is found in fields and in cultivated areas as well as flat country (1).
It is found from France eastwards, including Cyprus. It is not found in North Africa (2).
Not mentioned on the IUCN Red List (3).
